we sure know how to pick em...

Isn't it amazing how a person like George Bush ended up president of the United States. And what does that tell you about the people who voted the guy into office. It must have been his amazing ability to dodge things like shoes or the draft. Whatever it is, the man is truly in a league of his own. Why, just today he stated in his weekly radio broadcast how he urges, "all parties to pressure Hamas to turn away from terror, and to support legitimate Palestinian leaders working for peace." Let me provide some insight into how clever our president really is.

Firstly, just who is Bush referring to as legitimate Palestinian leaders working for peace? Many might assume that Georgy is referring to his good friend Mahmood Abbas, president of the alleged "State of Palestine"... keep in mind that for people like Abbas, the state of Palestine is a state of mind, he actually believes he is the president of a state.

But anyone who is aware of George W's true genius knows that he is not referring to Abbas, no my friends, W is actually referring to Hamas. Just look at his statement: "legitimate Palestinian leaders". W is obviously referring to Hamas which, coincidentally, won a surprise victory in the Palestinian parliamentary elections in 2006. Those elections were a legitimate democratic election that had been approved and insisted on by the Bush himself... before he found out Hamas won the majority. Since Hamas was the democratically elected majority, that makes Hamas the legitimate leading majority of the Parliamentary government. By condeming Hamas in the first part of his statement ("
pressure Hamas to turn away from terror"), and then urging support for the legitimate leaders of Palestine (Hamas) in the second part of his statement, Bush is essentially negating his own statement and in actuallity is not saying anything at all (normal for men of his level of intellect). And we all had our doubts about the man, thinking he was an idiot, but in reality he is capable of such complex feats of logic and rhetoric...amazing. But for someone who in the end is not saying anything, it sure takes him a long time to say nothing. Though Bush leaves the reader with a small dilemma in his statement where he pressures "Hamas to turn away from terror." Israel being the main source of terror in the region, how can Hammas turn away from terror if it has surrounded the Gaza Strip and is knocking on their front door? The terror is Israel dropping bombs on the heads of a million-plus Palestinians with an imminent Israeli ground invasion on all sides... on top of 60+ years of invasion and occupation.

The jurry is going to be out on this one for a looooong time....
