It's deja vu for the Israeli military as a similar incident called the Qana Massacre on April 18, 1996. A UN compound in Qana which was clearly demarcated as being under the protection of the UN was targeted, 106 people died in that attack.* Of course the Israeli's had an excuse, but overwhelming evidence and investigation has shown the attack was intentional. Once again, we are seeing the same tactics being used by the Israeli military, a complete lack of respect for human life.
The difference this time, in this day and age is that Israel cannot get away with it. With alternative outlets for news and updates on the rise, people all over the world are witnessing Israel's atrocities and are shouting out. Thousands of protesters from Britain to Africa and from the United States to South Korea, are protesting against Israel and against the state governments who are standing by, idly watching. Back in the day, when information was not as readily available it was easy to get away with something like this, but no more, there is a growing awareness of Israel's true nature and the growing number of protesters is testament to that. Unfortunately, America is still behind in that sense as they continue to report one-sidedly, and continue to invite smooth talking Israeli representatives who could make th
e most brutal crimes against humanity look like a mission of peace. I want to acknowledge those people in Israel who are speaking out against Israel's offensive and are also on protest, these are truly brave people, who are humane enough to speak out against the wrongs supported by the overwhelming majority of their own people. As for the rest of the Israeli's, it's obvious you were left behind somewhere on the evolutionary time line, as you don't seem to have the ability to learn from your mistakes or the ability to see those who are truly suffering on the other side of the border except through the sights of your guns. Now we come to the big question, why the hell do I even bother? I don't expect many people to read this blog let alone accept what I say as truth. But I don't need that, as there are over 60 years worth of study, literature and research backing the concepts and points I bring up, as well as an always growing international awareness, a flourishing oasis of alternative news sources that are reporting the truth, and a never ending accumulation of information that is becoming even more readily available to anyone, needing only the click of a mouse button. I have the force of all the protesters around the world plus generations of progressive, intelligent and humane people from this point in time spreading back 60 years and more, behind me. Whether my voice is heard or not is irrelevant, the important thing is that I add my voice to the growing chorus of people who have seen and continue to see the injustice in this world, and are doing something about it.
